Why Choose Minnesota Veterinary Hospital for Boarding and Doggy Daycare

2018-05-31

It isn’t officially summer yet, but you wouldn’t know that by triple-digit temperatures we have experienced in Shoreview, Minnesota and the surrounding areas recently. If they’re not already, kids will be out of school soon and then families will go on summer vacations in droves. While you have probably looked forward to the escape for months, you may not know what to do with your cat, dog, or other small pet. We are happy to let you know that Minnesota Veterinary Hospital offers on-site boarding as a convenience to our clients.

Stress-Free Boarding for Your Best Friend

When it comes to leaving your pet behind as you travel, it’s nice to know you can trust an animal hospital that has served the local community for the past 50 years. We opened our doors in 1968 and have developed a reputation for our knowledgeable and compassionate staff as well as our clean and state-of-the-art facilities.

While you’re enjoying some well-deserved time away, our boarding staff will provide your pet with snuggles and attention as well as provide for her physical needs. We offer plenty of time outdoors and nutritious meals as well as give your pet all regular medications. Our staff knows that we can’t replace the love and individual attention that your pet receives at home, but we strive to offer the next best thing.

To ensure the safety of all pets staying with us, we require that dogs, cats, and other small pets be up-to-date on all vaccinations. If your pet receives care elsewhere, please ask that clinic to fax us a copy of the most current vaccination record.

Daycare for Important Socialization

When you bring a new puppy home, it’s important for him to get a lot of one-on-one time with his new human family to learn important socialization skills. However, that isn’t always possible when you have a full-time job and other obligations that you must meet. Older dogs can also get lonely being left home alone all day. Unfortunately, this can develop into separation anxiety and destructive behavior. When people surrender their dogs to animal shelters, they often cite these reasons for doing so. We find that very sad when the problem may have an easy solution.

Doggy daycare at Minnesota Veterinary Hospital gives your dog the chance to interact with other dogs and people as well as spend time outside running and playing games. We know that dogs of all ages have a lot of energy and need a chance to release it. Our staff gets to know and love all dogs in their care over time, which is a comfort to you when you can’t be there.
