"Vinny"

Vinny is a four-year-old teacup Yorkie.  He is very loving and has a great time playing and teasing his two best buds, Ted, a Corgi, and Zoey, a Westie.  He weighs just under 4 pounds. Vinny recently had a terrible mishap at a groomer (NOT at Minnesota Veterinary Hospital). The groomer mistakenly sliced through the pad on his right foot and nearly amputated one of his toes!  Needless to say, little Vinny was in a lot of pain and terribly confused.  He went to the emergency vet late Saturday night and had surgery to close the wound.  It took four stitches on a very tiny paw!

After surgery, Vinny had to wear a cone to prevent him from chewing on his wound; he wore it for three weeks.  He did not like it one bit!  But the good folks at Minnesota Vet took excellent care of Vinny.  He is healing nicely, and it looks like he’ll make a full recovery. This is great news because Vinny loves to run, jump and fetch.  He is very happy to have the cone off, and wants to say a heartfelt thanks to the entire staff at Minnesota Veterinary Hospital for their very loving and gentle care.

"Cassie"

Hello. My name is Cassie and I am a 17 year old calico cat living in Lino Lakes with my family of five. My family treasures me and all of my quirky behavior. I'm mostly an indoor cat but love to be outside on the deck when the weather is nice. Some of my favorite activities have been playing with the tabs from plastic milk jugs and hiding them all over the house, indulging in catnip, and chasing my ribbon toy as someone runs through the house with it. A nice cardboard box has also provided me with much entertainment. I love to cuddle on a family member's lap, have them brush me, or get a chin scratch.

These days are quieter for me and filled with more nap time in my comfortable bed or lying by the warmth of the fireplace. Every now and then I have a burst of energy and will dash around the house or jump up on windowsills to look around. I'm grateful for a family that loves me so and the kindness of the doctors and staff at the Minnesota Veterinary Hospital that support and take such good care of me.
